Just west of Maple Falls is Silver Lake. The Silver Lake Park is 411 acres with a 180 acre lake that is run by the Whatcom County Parks department. The Silver Lake Park does have a public boat launch for those who want to canoe and paddleboat around the lake. There are also 6 lakeview cabins available for rent.
