Everson is one of the smaller towns of Whatcom County with a population near 2,000. Everson incorporated as a city in 1929. The City of Everson is divided by the Nooksack River. Everson is primarily an agricultural town. There are many dairy farms in the area.

Everson has a few new neighborhoods mixed in with some of the more established ones. Main Street is the main drag of Everson, which runs through the heart downtown.
