The WWU neighborhood includes the 215 acre campus of Western Washington University. Western Washington University is the 3rd largest university in Washington State based off enrolment behind the University of Washington and Washington State University. As of 2008, WWU has an enrolment of over 13,000 students.

On the WWU campus there are 15 residence halls that house nearly one third of local university student. There are also many housing opportunities in the Sehome Neighborhood and Happy Valley Neighborhood.
