Elizabeth Park is the oldest official park of Bellingham. The land for the park was donated by Henry Roeder in 1884 and later named after his wife Elizabeth. The Park encompasses an entire city block of Bellingham in the Columbia Neighborhood. Centered between Washington St, Madison St, Walnut St and Elizabeth St, Elizabeth Park is the community hub of the Columbia Neighborhood.

Elizabeth Park is a great place to enjoy lazy summer afternoons. The large grassy area in the middle of the park is surrounded by tall deciduous trees. The park has a large playground for children, both big and small. Elizabeth Park also has 2 tennis courts, which are the only public tennis courts on the southwestern side of Bellingham.
In the middle of Elizabeth Park is a large gazebo and water fountain. The gazebo was built in 1984 to celebrate the centennial of the park. During the summer months it is typically to find large gatherings and events in the gazebo and around the fountain.
If you are just visiting Bellingham for the day, it is highly recommended that you take a few minutes to take a quick walk around the trials of Elizabeth Park.
