The Birchwood Neighborhood has historically been an area consisting of single family homes built on extremely large lots. This neighborhood is characterized by older, well-kept homes on lots in excess of 400 feet deep. More recently, the Birchwood neighborhood has seen the growth of apartment complexes located primarily along Northwest Avenue.
